Under the leadership of Elder Herman L. Simms, the Sermon On the Mount Temple of Joy Apostolic Faith has continued in the Apostle's Doctrine for many years. Some people refer to the church and the saints there as "old fashioned." This description is acceeptable since the church sincerely believes in Jeremiah 6:16...ask for the old paths... The church holds to the foundation of the apostles and prophets with Jesus Christ (the one and only God) being the chief cornerstone.

In a world where the subtlety of the devil has eroded the spiritual and moral values of the society, the pastor and the church seeks to continue to fight the good fight of faith and lift up a standard for the Lord.

Many souls have been baptized in water in the Name of Jesus Christ and have received the gift of the Holy Ghost, speaking with other tongues an the spirit gave the utterance.

The church is a relatively small congregation but is dynamic in preaching, prayer, praise and power. In 2006 the church completed and dedicated a new sanctuary with no remaining debt. We continue to look forward to the Lord adding to the church such as should be saved.
